TOSOVC Champions Advocacy for Civil Society Laws in Tanzania



 MPANDA, KATAVI - The Tanzania Organization Serving Orphans and Vulnerable Children (TOSOVC) is actively involved in implementing the " OUR CITIZENSHIP " Project. This project aims to advocate for laws and guidelines governing Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Tanzania, with the goal of improving their operating environment.

Recently, TOSOVC's Program Manager, Mr. George Kasabwe, delivered a key presentation on the project's implementation at a meeting held in Tabora. The meeting was sponsored by The Foundation for Civil Society through the Umbrella of Non-Governmental Organizations in Dodoma Region. During his presentation, Mr. Kasabwe detailed the progress and challenges of the "OUR CITIZENSHIP" Project in its efforts to advocate for the laws and guidelines that govern CSOs in the country.

Prior to this national meeting, TOSOVC hosted a meeting for participating organizations in the Katavi region. This regional meeting focused on advocating for the same issues at the local level, laying a strong foundation for the national efforts.
