MPANDA, KATAVI - TOSOVC (The Tanzania Organization Serving Orphans and Vulnerable Children) is now taking its educational outreach to the airwaves. George Kasabwe , TOSOVC's Program Manager, and Onesmo Lilai , Project Officer, recently participated in a community discussion. They joined the " SANUKA " program, which focuses on issues of violence and social justice . This program is funded by the BBC and aired on Mpanda Radio FM . Their participation allowed TOSOVC to share valuable insights and information with a broader audience, contributing to public awareness and understanding of these critical topics.

The organization's Training and Mobilization Officer, Mr. Ernest Muharuro , recently led an educational session at Mpanda Hotel Primary School in Mpanda Municipality, Katavi Region. As part of TOSOVC's educational program, Mr. Muharuro engaged with children, delivering valuable lessons in a lively and interactive manner. The students learned about their rights , how to avoid acts of violence , and how to identify different types of abuse . TOSOVC Donates Clothes to Mpanda Ndogo Primary School in Tanganyika District

KATAVI - The Tanzania Organization Serving Orphans and Vulnerable Children (TOSOVC) has provided much-needed clothing to students at Mpanda Ndogo Primary School in Tanganyika District, Katavi Region. TOSOVC's Executive Director, Mr. Nikodemas Luhele, stated that the organization received the clothes for children from a generous supporter and friend of the organization, Madam Marianah from Germany . Following this donation, TOSOVC conducted an assessment and decided to distribute the clothes to children in Tanganyika District. They then contacted the Tanganyika District Executive Director, who, through the Social Welfare Office, directed that the clothing be given to children in Mpanda Ndogo Ward . This tool will empower communities to provide feedback on the malaria services they receive when experiencing symptoms. The workshop was generously sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) . Attendees included officials from the Ministry of Health's Malaria Control Unit and various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). He particularly highlighted the alarming statistics, stating, "youth are among the most affected and have the highest rates of infection, according to recent data."
